Rite Aid Pharmacy Armed Robbery 12/29/2009 at 6:30PM

Update regarding a suspect wanted for four separate pharmacy robberies where the drug, Oxycontin was taken.
On Tuesday evening, at around 6:30 PM, an unidentified Caucasian male entered the Rite Aid Pharmacy, located at 6074 N. First Street. After entering the pharmacy, the subject gave a note to the pharmacy staff indicating that he had a weapon and to give him Oxycontin. The pharmacy staff complied with the demand and gave the suspect Oxycontin. The suspect then walked out of the store and escaped before officers arrived.
The same suspect is believed to be responsible for committing three other pharmacy robberies where Oxycontin was taken:
- The first robbery occurred on October 4th, at the Walgreens Pharmacy located at 2840 W. Ashlan Avenue.
- The second robbery occurred on November 9th, at the Walgreens Pharmacy located at 6885 N. Willow Avenue.
- The third robbery occurred on December 4th, at the Walgreens Pharmacy located at 7015 N. West Avenue.
The suspect is described as being a Caucasian male, approximately 20 to 30 years of age, approximately 6 feet tall, and having a thin to medium build. In last nights robbery, the suspect was wearing a black baseball cap, a black jacket, black hooded sweatshirt with a unknown type of logo on the front of the sweatshirt, tennis shoes, and what is described as being a pair of prescription glasses.
The suspect should be considered armed and dangerous and citizens should not attempt to apprehend him. If anybody has information regarding the identity of the suspect, they are asked to contact Fresno Police Department Street Violence Bureau Robbery Detectives Ed Dingler at (559) 621-2423 or Dennis Krug at (559) 621-2424. Citizens who provide information will remain anonymous and are urged to contact Detectives Dingler or Krug directly with their information.
